Fall 2011 Show

Fall 2011 our school presented "Voice of the Storyteller," an Irish dance and music concert sponsored generously by JP Morgan Chase and COAHSI.

Check out the show photos on Facebook.

Boogie Woogie Wednesday

Every summer our school is invited to perform at Boogie Woogie Wednesday, a series of multi-cultural workshops at the Staten Island Children's Museum. This year a sun shower started to fall halfway through, making us take the show indoors. But, it worked out great and the crowd had a fun time dancing with us.

Recital

We held our end of the year recital on June 12, 2001. It was a lovely day for the students to show friends and family all that they had been learning over the past year. Music beautifully provided by Bob Conroy and Norm Pederson. Be sure and check out our photos page for some fun memories of the day.

Tottenville Library and the Staten Ireland Fair

Niall O'Leary, Dawn Daniels and the Staten Island students performed a double-header on Saturday, June 11, 2011, by appearing first at the Tottenville Library and next at the Staten Ireland Fair. Both concerts were traditional, lively, and well attended. Great job to the students and their families for moving from one place to the next in the Irish rain.

PS 20 Dance Workshop 2011

Dawn Daniels was happy to be invited by COAHSI to participate in a dance workshop at PS 20 in Port Richmond this past March. The focus on the project was to teach 3rd graders the specifics of multi-cultural dance in which they explored Mexican, African, and Irish Step Dancing. The showcase was held on May 2nd and turned out to a memorable and exciting experience for the students, teachers, and audience alike. Debbie Rose was on hand to congratulate the kids for their hard work.
